Gossip Girl Episodes :-Seventeen Candles
Blair Waldorf goes up to the church and confesses to the priest that she had sinned, as after having a fight with her boyfriend, she has lost her virginity to Chuck Bass. She needs forgiveness and is assured by the priest that things would be fine.
As she is passing by, Chuck drives his limo to her and wants to talk about the time they had spent in this very car but Blair does not want any discussion on the topic. She is already worried about her seventeenth birthday and whether Nate Archibald will be with her not on her special day.
But the Archibalds are too thrilled for her birthday as the Captain is facing fraud charges and they cannot afford to break the deal with Eleanor Waldorf. So Nate’s mother hands him the family ring and asks him to gift it to Blair on her birthday. So Nate, in order to please his family, calls up Miss Waldorf and wants to bridge any gap that might have come into their relationship. Blair Waldorf is so excited and happy that she instantly calls up her most prized jewelry store and as per the rules, places an exquisite necklace on order, so that Nate could simply purchase it as she has already selected it.
Jenny Humphrey is trying to sort out her family issues in the meantime. She brings her mother Alison home leaving the males of the family stunned. The parents are left alone and as they are talking and chatting, the differences are also being weeded out. Rufus tells his wife, how much he cares and loves her and they kiss each other.
The theme of Blair Waldorf’s seventeenth birthday party is Japanese and the guests are all pouring in, but Blair’s eyes are still searching for Nate Archibald who hasn’t shown up until yet.
Serena seems upset too, as Dan Humphrey is accompanied by Vanessa at the party. But Dan’s idea is that, Serena and Vanessa should gel together well, for which they should spend some quality time together. Serena is hurt when she learns that Dan told Vanessa about the return of his mother and not to her, but he explains to her that it is only Serena for him and not Vanessa, and slowly Vanessa and Serena are really becoming good buddies.

Chuck catches up Blair at the balcony and informs her that Nate would not come, as the only reason he had called her is for the business deal between the two families. Blair tells him that he is plain jealous and Chuck admits that he has fallen for her. Blair does not believe anything of it, and they end up making a bet that Blair will spend the night with Chuck if Nate doesn’t come, and if he does come, Chuck Bass would never bother her again in her life.
The Gossip Girl Blog, reports at around midnight that Nate Archibald was seen having heart to heart talk regarding families with Jenny Humphrey and also that they were seen in each other’s arms and this news leaves Blair distraught and she confirms to Serena Van der Woodsen about the finishing of their relationship. Serena, like good friends, tries to control her friend, but Blair sends her away. Nate has, on the other hand, confessed that he is now over with Blair.
Blair Waldorf is visited by Chuck Bass, but she is crying badly and is not in the mood to have sex with him at the moment. He explains that he has come just to give her gift. He then hands her the beautiful necklace she had chosen at the jeweler and tells her “Something this beautiful deserves to be seen on someone worthy of its beauty.” She is overwhelmed and flattered as she gives him a kiss.
“Spotted. B. turning a year older, but not necessarily wiser. Guess Chuck’s the gift that keeps on giving. Blow out your candles, B. This’ll be better in the dark. xoxo, Gossip Girl.”
