Gossip Girl Episodes :-Bad News Blair
Miss Blair Waldorf has a terrible nightmare where she pictures herself, trying to enter Henry Bendel’s with “Moon River” playing in the background but she can’t enter because her name is nowhere on the list and all she can do is to look from a distance, Serena having a good time inside. Blair, wakes up to another big surprise that Eleanor Waldorf is back in Manhattan with the huge news that Bendel is interested in selling her fashion label and this could be a very important assignment for Eleanor Waldorf. Blair is then visited by Serena as she and Serena have made up some plans for the day.
Chuck has also made up some plans for a boys only weekend, which would be a combination of drugs, sex and booze as the slogan is “Stop Thinking. Start Partying”. All the guys are enthusiastic for this idea, except Nate Archibald who comes across an interesting old acquaintance Carter Baizen, a former student of St. Jude’s. He used to be very cool at school but with time he claims to have changed into a different man and even started filming documentaries, traveling a lot in the real world. Nate gets quite inquisitive about the whole thing but his friend Chuck differs with him saying “Are you high? That guy looks like Matthew McConaughey between movies”.

While they are out for shopping, Blair Waldorf confides to Serena that she felt that whenever the both of them are together, she gets the feeling that everyone is just noticing Serena, even her mother Eleanor Waldorf. Serena Van der Woodsen humbly replies that Blair was her daughter and she wouldn’t like anyone except Blair. Blair is skeptical of Serena’s lines but has a change of mind when her mother Blair isn’t sure about Serena’s words but she starts changing her mind as soon as Eleanor Waldorf opt her as the new face for her fashion line. Blair is very excited and Serena pledges her full support to her friend something which Blair is in dire need of as during fashion shoots Blair has the tendency to be stiff and rigid. When Serena starts showing Blair the techniques of looking relaxed and natural, the photographer is very much impressed, not by Blair but Serena.
Rufus’s art gallery also makes some good gains as an enigmatic painting made by Rufus’s wife Alison is bought by Bex. It turns out that Bex is a client of Lillian Van der Woodsen and she comes later to the gallery along with the painting, with a surprised look that she had by mistake been owner of Alison’s work and Rufus is astonished that Lillian has hired a person which such artistic sense. Lillian explains to Rufus that Alison would not be happy with her being the owner of her painting. So returns it back but before she is about to leave Rufus requests her comment on the painting, to which she replies that it is extraordinary, a reply that flatters up Rufus Humphrey.

Rufus’s son, Dan in the meanwhile calls Serena and, yes, and they both agree to go on a date. But it’s ruined as Blair intervenes between them because she thinks that he is the worst loser and urges Serena to be with her for the fashion shoot; hence Dan was left to keep standing alone at the cinema.

Nate Archibald skips Chuck’s wild night out plans to go play poker with Carter Baizen and some other wily guys but it doesn’t turn out very great for Nate as he learns that Carter Baizen has set him up so that he may lose money. It is Chuck who comes up and helps out Nate to sort out issues. But Nate is in for a rude shock when he tries to give back Chuck his money and learns that the Captain had used up his trust account.

The day has dawned for the official fashion shoot can happen at Upper East Side Manhattan but with some uneasy news that the photographer is not contented with Blair as a model and recommends Serena’s name as a better idea to Eleanor Waldorf who instantly consents to Serena’s name without even faking that she had trust in her daughter, Blair Waldorf could also be a potential model. Blair is obviously infuriated especially as she discovers that Serena has replaced her for the fashion shoot, and spews her fury on her, saying that she always wants to be at the center stage but can never help. Serena explains to her that she was told that both of them would be doing the modeling together and Blair was just a little late. Blair doesn’t believe that Serena had been tricked. Similarly Dan, who had heard all that was said, doesn’t trust Serena, so she is hurt and orders him to leave. Serena then goes up to Blair’s mother Eleanor Waldorf and tells her that she is quitting her assignment, much to Eleanor’s disappointment. Dan does not leave and sits down with Blair who tells him that she “Normally, wouldn’t be this close to you without a tetanus shot.” Dan ignores her statement and tells her all about his family and gives her a friendly advice that she should ask her mother to choose either to stay at home permanently or leave it and leave her children alone. Blair definitely agrees with Dan and decides that it is high time that Eleanor Waldorf learned what her children really thought of her. She approaches her with a straight question whether she picked Serena over her daughter and she gets a straight and truthful answer too. “If my company had lost this deal because of you, I’d have never forgiven myself.”

Serena is just about to leave as Dan walks up to her and apologizes for his behavior and for judging her to which she answers him that she shouldn’t have given him a reason to judge her. So they patch up and agree for a real date on Friday at eight in the evening, and this time even Blair also gives her stamp of approval.
So, Dan leaves and Serena and Blair are alone, they hug each other. Blair reveals to Serena that she has learned a valuable lesson and Serena informs her that they still could have lot of fun time. They take out clothes from Eleanor’s fashion line and have their own fashion shoot under the beautiful blue sky, taking photo shots randomly and enjoying a lot.

“Everyone knows you can’t choose your family but you can choose you friends. And in a world ruled by bloodlines and bank accounts, it pays to have a pal. As much as a BFF can make you go WTF, there is no denying we’d all be a little less rich without them”.
