Gossip Girl Episodes :- A Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate

Serena Van der Woodsen was seen purchasing a pregnancy test according to the famous blogger Gossip Girl and this sensational news has caught up the fancy of everyone at the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

And the shock waves are impacting Serena’s lover Dan Humphrey as well. Like a good guy, he gives his word to the girl that he would stand by her in any circumstances but his father unfortunately is not very pleased by his son’s behavior.

The fact is that Serena is not pregnant. Blair Waldorf, who recently lost her virginity had confined to Serena about period that got late, so Serena persuades her to take the test even though her friend is adamant not to do it.

At their dinner date, Serena tells Dan everything about Blair that has been bothering her including Chuck and Blair’s relationship and now the late period and the other details. Dan advises Serena that Chuck should know about Blair’s condition as Jenny Humphrey listens on to the whole conversation between Serena and Dan.

Serena heeds Dan’s advice and discusses Blair’s troubles with Chuck, who informs her that he was sure he used a condom but perhaps Nate forgot. Serena is taken by surprise that Blair has been sleeping around with Nate Archibald too.

But the relief comes in when Blair finally takes the pregnancy test and Serena is delighted to see that it showed negative results.

Chuck meets up Blair at school and again issues threats to reveal about their relationship to Nate. But Blair is confident that Chuck values his friendship with Nate so would not tell him anything.
She says “Game over,” and as he responds “The game is over when I say it is over”, she walks away.

Chuck instantly sends this text message to the blogger, Gossip Girl
“S not pregnant, covering for Blair. Same Blair whose sheets were rumpled by two guys in one week.”

The news spreads like wildfire and Jenny happens to be near Nate when he hears it, so she spills out the beans telling everything she had heard Serena confide to Dan.

Nate and Chuck slug it out, as Chuck explains to him that Blair was in need of someone when they had sex, but Nate is not listening and they severe their friendship.

A very sad Blair tries to talk things but Nate is through with her, and tells her that Jenny told him about Blair and Chuck having a sexual affair. All the pleas of Blair fail to convince Nate who is now adamant to break up with her.

Blair is in rage when she meets Serena and demands an explanation as to why her personal life was disclosed to Jenny Humphrey. Serena blurts out that she had told Dan and that way Jenny could have learned everything, but this makes Blair angrier. The girls have a bitter verbal duel and Serena leaves Blair all alone to handle the crisis.

Blair has some more reasons to despair too. Her friends who lunch with her at steps of the Met, have now all diverted their allegiance to Jenny Humphrey, who seems to be their new leader and desert Blair Waldorf, powerless and all with envy against Jenny.

Even Chuck is now over with Blair. When she comes to informs him that he won, he tells her that she is not pure like before but filthy and dirty so he does not want her just as no one else will be interested in her.

Finally, Blair goes up to her mother Eleanor Waldorf to plead for going out of the country as soon as possible to escape from the ruin she is in at the moment.

As Jenny is all set to control Blair’s friend circle, Serena goes up to Dan about the news that leaked. He tells her that since he loves her he would not do it. She just says okay and leaves an uneasy Dan who also moves away fast.

But after some time, Serena and Dan make up as they both claim their love for each other. Serena is in a hurry as she has to chat with some one.

Blair Waldorf is about to board a helicopter to the John F. Kennedy airport when Serena stops her, pleading her not to go the way Serena had left her, without saying anything. She assures her best friend that they would face these rough times together and redeem Blair’s lost reputation. They hug each other as Blair is now prepared to go home and face the world.

The episode’s summation can be best worded in Gossip Girl’s expressions:

“One good scandal deserves another. Wonder who is going down next.”
