Gossip Girl Episodes :- School Lies
There is a wild party going on near the school pool and Blair Waldorf and Nate Archibald are making love but under the watchful eyes of Chuck Bass which puts off their mood. Chuck is in his lustful mood and Blair tells him to torture someone else, even though he insists he wants her. Serena comes into the party but without her boyfriend, and is welcomed by Chuck’s lewd remarks regarding her bathing dress which he opinionates to remove.
Serena calls up Dan to come along to the party and he takes Vanessa with him as she wants to send an exciting video to a contest and she can shoot the party for it.
A fight happens between some boys and a guy hits upon a pole and falls into the swimming pool. Nate Archibald jumps in to save the boy while many teens just run away. Serena calls up an ambulance while Chuck snatches up a key from the table. But everyone in the rush, fail to notice a phone lying at the party venue.
A new headmistress is introduced to the children the next day at the school who tells them that Andrew Collins who was hurt during the party was now safe and sound. She also announces that the students would be writing an essay on why they did what they did, that is to break into the school, do drugs, drink alcohol etc. She also tells them about some photos from the phone left behind in the party and her plans of seeing everyone who was in it. Her mind has been made up to expel the student responsible for organizing the whole party and if she does not find that one person everyone would be expelled.
But Blair leads the whole group to take a pledge of silence as it always turned out to be the right thing to do. Dan is uneasy with this, as it is Blair’s idea but Serena assures him that she will help him out of the situation as she was the one who had invited him.
Dan seems not be very assured of his girlfriend so seeks advise of his father who tells him to save himself at the cost of his friends. Lillian comes to Rufus’s gallery as she wanted to be the first one to tell him about her engagement.
At Blair Waldorf’s house there is party happening on the pretext of preparing essays, the headmistress had asked for. But Dan is focusing on his work only and Vanessa on her video and shows Dan the part where Chuck takes the key. Dan goes up to Chuck and asks him to come clean on it but Chuck clarifies that he only wants to save everyone. Nate hands over a love letter to Blair and is expecting a kiss but Blair runs down to see on her guests. Nate then discovers the key in Blair’s drawer while Blair talks it out with Chuck that Nate would never believe the fact that she had sex with Chuck in his limousine. Accidentally Vanessa records this conversation on her camera.
Rufus goes up to Lilllian’s hotel and tells her that he loves her and even gives her a kiss.
Later Bart and Lillian are out for a luncheon date when Bart gets up for an important call and Lillian realizes that how lonely her life could be with him. So she calls up Rufus and they fix up a weekend getaway.
Nate Archibald sacrifices himself for his lover and even shows the key to the head mistress who quickly catches upon his lie as he cannot tell her about the keychain, which was now missing. He is nevertheless suspended.
Both Blair and Chuck are after Vanessa to get on the tape where they are featured talking about their intimate moments. Chuck manages to pay Vanessa about $10,000 for the tape and gets the tape. When Blair comes to know what Nate did for her, she claims that this was the most romantic thing he has done for her, but still is confused to be with him, as the tape is bothering up her mind.
Serena tells Dan that she was the person responsible as Dan is about to leave for the interview with the headmistress.
Vanessa is quite smart enough to hand over the real copy of the tape to Blair as she had given Chuck a blank tape. Blair’s heart is filled with gratitude for Vanessa and love for Nate whom she eagerly tells how much she loves him.
Blair comes up to Vanessa at her work to thank her and tells her that she had paid a full year rent for her so that she can again go back hating her like before. She is also inquisitive to know what Vanessa did with the money Chuck gave her. Vanessa informs her that the money was donated in Chuck’s name to fund research of Herpes in the youth.
There is trouble at the Van der Woodsen home as Serena is unhappy with her mother going away with Rufus. This is because of Dan and herself as she could never bear Dan to be her step brother, and for her Chuck would be a better choice as a brother.
At school, Dan feigns ignorance about the guilty person in front of the head mistress but Serena comes in to confess her mistake. She is read out her past record and after some pleas and apologies she gets just twenty five hours of community service, a punishment very less according to Dan, who thinks it was all due to her high status and influence.
Lillian says sorry to Rufus and agrees to marry Bart Bass. The two families meet up for dinner and Serena realizes what kind of brother she had asked for when Chuck suggests that they had really missed on bathing together as little ones and should do it now. Bart then informs Serena that her punishment had been lessened down because he had paid off the head mistress.
Serena is crestfallen and goes up to Dan’s place where she sees Rufus packing up his things.
The episode ends with Serena and Dan cozying up together in Dan’s bed while studying together.
