Gossip Girl Episodes :- Roman Holiday
The Christmas is here, and Blair Waldorf seems to be very excited as he father Harold Waldorf would be with her to celebrate the festival. But she is in for a rude shock when she sees that her father has brought along his lover Roman with him too. She immediately starts upon her mission “Christmas without Roman”. She even trips up Roman when they visit the Wollman Ice Rink in Central Park as Roman is not very good at skating. But again she meets with disappointment as her father decides to devote a day, taking care of Roman who has hurt his ankle.
To Blair’s rescue comes her mother Eleanor Waldorf who informs her about Freddy, a very wild model, who was a former boyfriend of Roman.
Alison’s lover in Hudson, Alex has sent a very special Christmas card at the Humphrey residence, inviting Alison to a bar. Alison tries to convince Rufus that she and Alex had broken up and Rufus is indeed convinced. Though he surely turns up at the bar and confronts Alex, only to discover that his wife was not at all faithful to him. The husband and wife then talk things out between themselves and conclude that they could not now remain attached with each other.
“Maybe other people aren’t the problem. Maybe we changed.”
Vanessa gave a pleasant surprise to Dan by submitting a story Dan wrote in a contest for The New Yorker, which Dan won. This has raised some concern for Serena as now she has to search something better for her boyfriend, even though she is sure that he wants snow very badly.
Dan on the other hand is doing well with Christmas presents. With the help of Serena’s mother Lillian, he manages to get inside The Palace Hotel and take a Christmas Tree for Serena.
Serena has with the kind help of Vanessa, decorated Rufus’s art Gallery with all snow and white stuff and herself in white. Dan reacts by declaring that this is his best Christmas ever and the couple has a kiss.
Freddy was certainly not expected at the Christmas party thrown by Eleanor and Harold is angry with Roman, much to Blair’s delight. But her happiness is short-lived as Freddy spills the beans that it was Blair who had extended him the invitation to the party. Harold Waldorf is stunned that his daughter can be so calculating and scheming but Eleanor defends her daughter by reminding him that Blair had been longing for such a long time, to spend some time with her father since he had left for Paris. “She tries really hard to act all grown up, but don’t you be fooled. She’s still a little girl who needs her daddy.”
Harold now is aware of the mistake he committed and talks out with Blair, informing her that she is the most significant person in his life “No matter where I am. No matter who I’m with.” And then announces her a Christmas present. In Harold’s house in Paris there is an Audrey Hepburn-ish bedroom, specially made up for Blair to spend her next summer vacations there. Blair is obviously very excited to hear this news.
Lillian is proposed by Chuck’s father Bart Bass, just as Rufus lands up from Brooklyn to her home, even without a jacket, exclaiming “What the hell? I miss you. And I have been missing you for a while”.
In the end, The Waldorfs get ready for celebrating Christmas along with Roman, who now has the support of Blair but her mood is suddenly blank as she receives this message from Chuck, who is in Monaco, where Nate Archibald is holidaying too.
“Don’t worry, B. Who would I tell?”
