Personal Life- Penn was born in Baltimore but he spent his childhood in Virginia and Seattle. In Seattle he attended Children’s theatre and did voice over for children radio. At the age of eleven he shifted to Hollywood to begin his acting career. His co-star on Gossip Girl Blake Lively has remained his classmate. Penn is a singer also and recorded a Pop number in 1998. There were reports that he is dating Blake but he denied it. But later on his photos kissing Blake were published in People magazine, while they were on vacation in Mexico.
Career Credits- Badgley started his career with voice over for video game Mario Golf 64 and Mario Tennis 64 in 1999 and 2000 respectively. His first acting project was with Will and Grace. After that he appeared in many shows. He has a golden star in his profile as ‘Must Die’. It earned $14.3 Million in its opening weekend. In 2001 he entered The Young and Restless. In 2002, he also worked in ‘Drive Thru’ with Leighton Meester. After this he joined Gossip Girl and became the topic worth discussion for viewers.
In the Dan Humphery Role- Penn is playing the role of son of former Rock star Rufus Humphery. He became love interest of Serena when she comes back to Upper East Side after a long time. He is very caring towards his little sister Jenny. Dan and Serena start romancing while working in Vanessa’s film, but later on he starts dating Vanessa and cheats on her too for a cute yoga girl. After this he dates Greg but finally confesses to Vanessa at the end of the series that he loves her.
Upcoming projects- He is going to play main role Michael in the movie ‘The Step Father’, the remake of the 1987 film with same title. The film will hit the screen in 2009.
