‘Gossip Girl’ is an American teen drama based on a novel with same name. Novel was written by Cecily von Ziegesar but it has been produced, developed and converted into television series by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. ‘Transcenders’ have composed its theme music and executive producers of the show include Bob Levy, Leslie Morgenstein and John Stephens other than the creators of the series. Gossip Girl seasons are broadcasted on The CW with HDTV picture format. Gossip Girl season 1 was premiered on 19th September, 2009.
The show starts with the unexplained return of a former popular girl from Connecticut boarding school to the best school of New York situated in Upper East Side. She used to be partying girl and a year before starting of the show she had left it for unknown reasons. All the episodes of Gossip Girl Seasons are narrated by her without showing face but she has been depicted as being tall with long curvy light-colored hair and an omniscient. Other key characters are Blair Waldrof, Serena’s best friend and a popular chic; Dan Humphrey, a student cum writer who broke up with Serena but still have feelings for her.
Nate Archibald is the one who shares romantic history both with Blair and Serena but later on gets sexually involved with an old married woman, Venessa Abrams, for money. Jenny Humphrey, Chuck Bass, Lily Bass and Rufus Humphrey are other main characters of the show about whom, the gossip girl collects news. All of the characters are in their teens and from the privileged social class. After completing their high schools, they move to university, the real world.
The series has been listed in top ten new shows that people watch and were aware of on the basis of research made by OTX, a global media research and consulting firm. Gossip Girl season 3rd is getting good reviews from the audience since its premiere on 14 September, 2009 and millions of people download its episodes.
